Another beautiful day, a twofer with K-9935, and the first outing for my new antenna, a Chameleon LEFS 8010 lightweight end-fed half-wave sloper. SWR is under 2:1 on all bands 80-10m, easy to put up and take down, and it is made in two segments so if you don’t need the WARC bands or 80m you can set it up as an LEFS 4010. I also added three 6ft segments of aluminum bull float poles to make an 18ft mast that sits in a hitch-mounted mast holder. This makes for quick setup and teardown in locations where I can set up next to the Odyssey.
And it’s official: I love my Icom IC-705! What a great radio.
